MIRAMAR, FL – A masked gunman was shot and killed by an employee of the Captain Max Seafood restaurant in an attempted robbery
Just before 6 p.m. Wednesday December 23rd , a man wearing a ski mask and gloves walked into Captain Max Seafood restaurant at 3700 State Road 7 and brandished a gun.
Police said 26-year-old Roosevelt Jones entered the restaurant shortly before 6 p.m. After a verbal exchange with an employee, the employee pulled his own firearm and shot the robber several times, stopping the threat on his life. Jones was released from state prison on Oct. 8 after serving time for armed carjacking and fleeing from a law enforcement officer.
